The Cluster Pays mechanic is not used as much as it once was when it became the next big thing in calculating payout mechanics, mainly because other engines such as Megaways and, more recently, Scatter Pays have proved more popular with players. As you’ll see on the Mystic Potion paytable, you’re rewarded for clusters of symbols rather than having to land them across paylines. The Red Potion offers the best payout, as you will receive 50x the stake for any cluster containing 20 or more of the symbol. As mentioned, the Mystic Potion slot uses a cluster pays mechanic to determine payouts. That means you’ll need to land at least five matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically to receive a payout. Clusters pay no matter where they are formed on the 6x6 gaming grid. 

A cascading reels mechanic is also in play. It works by removing all symbols involved in a winning combination so that more can fall onto the grid, potentially creating a chain reaction of wins.
